Personally, I like both.
But if I were to pick, it would be the classics.
See Chicken Little in theatres October 30th!
You know Snap from Chalkzone? Then join the Snap Army Collab! DEADLINE IS APRIL 1ST!!
I kind of do prefer the old ones, but I like some new ones as well. The reason why is mainly because the flaws remind me of what I am capable of for now.
Although I don't really consider Battle For Dream Island to be modern, its first episode was made during 2009 and finished in January 2010.

Both have good and bad
*cough cough* Vivziepop.
If you say like the GOOD cartoons, i would say the classics
if you are saying like all the cartoons independently if it's good or bad, i would say modern animations
While modern shows sometimes look better,
I do miss when they were made by a single guy.

Me too
I'm a sucker for nostalgia but I gotta go with modern animation. It's like asking me if I prefer a horse or a car, I'm gonna pick the car every time.

Sorry, I didn't know it was old.
I like the roughness of old Web animation. It has a charming do it yourself aesthetic that I like.
classic ftw
also bfdi isnt modern
I miss classic web animation now that Edd Gould is dead, evolution hit him like a truck.
Hi! I’m Roja Jin and welcome to my very own house!
in my opinion, both eras are good in their own ways
Quality or quality? Both are good and have their own charm and value.
I prefer good web animation. Because, in the end, each decade of indie animation had its fair share stinkers, you know?
if I had to choose between classic to modern I say both! But I still get inspiration from classic animations due to how the concept of them involves somebody making their own animations without being in studio and instead making them in their own bedroom.
I think there are some good current web series. The web series I hate the most are Heluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel. I prefer classic web series.
I have watched mostly the classic web animations i liked before, soo I prefer that one!
For the modern ones... Well I can find some that are well made although there are others from both eras makes me want to lifen't
Both have their own charm but I personally prefer classic web animation, my artstyle is inspired by some of those web series, as well as their absurdist comedy, when I write my stories.

Whose this funny man
A Mix of both,That Classic look makes it have that choppy and original feel to it. While the Modern ones feel more polished and more expressive. (Not to to say the Classics couldn't do that either.)
