It was overall pretty good. The finale was kinda mid tho I mean how tf did Alastor almost die to a pussy (Adam) and yet Lucifer managed to beat his ass easily!?!?!!?!? That shit made no fucking sense at all. Anyways I'm definetly looking forward to season 2.
It was alright but god damn they need to give season 2 more episodes to work with
It was alright. Was rushed and definitely need more episodes to work with but still fun. Hopefully season 2 has more time.
I liked it, but I didnt care for the pacing.
Overall pretty good, I give it a good 7ish/10. Songs are great, pacing was weird at times but I hardly blame the writers, great animation an character designs. Cant wait for season 2, hopefully longer/more episodes to go over all they want to do
Hi :)
I like the idea of heaven's angels being these diabetes-inducingly chipper camp counselors but also there's a fair share of assholes who are gatekeeping the kingdom of heaven out of spite or whatever.
There were some banger character designs. Huge fan of Velvette. Loved that Keith David bat guy. I always love character dynamics that hint at a deeper history beyond what we see onscreen. Maybe we'll see more in the next season or maybe they'll just leave it all up to the imagination.
The dudesexlmao jokes were cringe but that's a staple of mainstream adult comedy so I don't see any reason to complain about that.
I liked it. The songs are mostly good. The Angel episode seemed out of place and doesn’t contribute to the main arc. I may watch that spin-off show on YouTube later.
This will join the list of shows I like but will avoid the larger fanbase like the plague.
A great bloody show, and Episode 4 is my favorite! I can see why Vivienne came up with that, and Episode 1, before anything else.
There were a couple of plot points that could have been moved up until later. Adam's introduction into the show kind of felt like it didn't fall naturally into episode 1 and would have fit far better in episode 4 or 5. Give or take it just felt like his impact deserved far more as opposed to having him appear in the show prematurely because god damn he had some bangers.
This goes into a flaw with Viv's general writing which has been hit or miss, but I feel like it's less evident in Hazbin Hotel compared to Helluva Boss. I like the latter but I don't think we should bullshit ourselves saying that it's perfect writing.
Overall I did like what came of the show and far as I am concerned the fact that Vivziepop was able to get far with everything she has done is a win for indie creators all around. She might have her faults but she's probably far more deserving of the praise she gets than most people will give her credit for.
I am addicted to the show at the moment.
I was already a huge fan of Helluva Boss, and based on the pilot for Hazbin Hotel I thought I was gonna wind up liking it less than Helluva Boss. I'm glad I was wrong, I somehow like Hazbin Hotel even more.
For one, there is literally not a single character I don't like. The closest I came to disliking a character was Mimzy, but the writers were smart and barely gave her any screen time - she didn't have time to get on my nerves. I particularly love Angel Dust and Husk, as well as Alastor for a couple reasons.
I love the music, I've been listening to it constantly since I binged the whole first season. Respectless, you didn't know, loser baby, hell's greatest dad, stayed gone, they're all so good it's unreal.
The animation is amazing, and I love the character designs. I'm a chronically coom-brained person, and it literally feels like nearly every character was designed to specifically appeal to me. I also get the same feeling from Helluva Boss, Vivienne Medrano just has an artstyle that I find extremely appealing.
By far my favorite element of the show so far is Angel Dust's story. I can't help but get addicted to gay dramatic romance, I've got the same thing with Blitz and Stolas in Helluva Boss, I just can't resist dramatic gay romances. I am very invested in the relationship between Husk and Angel Dust, I just want Angel to be happy and safe.
Best regards

This is not a very controversial opinion to be fair, there's a ton of people anti-jerking it saying like "bro why tf is this shit the most viewed thing amazon prime video has ever made".
It's alright. Definitely impressive for an independent team, even with all the extra funding and support they get from being on a streaming service now. I had some doubts about the show going anywhere since the pilot set the standards pretty high, but evidently they mostly kept up the quality in the full release. I never really got the hype even back in 2019 and am still not sure why it's as popular as it is, but overall, it's nice to see that indie animation productions can make it this far.
(also every time I hear about Hazbin Hotel this pops right into my head)

I think it's literally just because of the fact that it's an unapologetically gay show where the gayness of characters is completely normal, it isn't like some kind of political statement. We get to have all these gay bi and lesbian characters and the show isn't weird about it. Throw in the fact that it's full of catchy musical numbers, appealing character designs (appealing if you're a gaywad at least), good animation and decent drama and you have anyone who considers themselves "queer" hook line and sinker. Tbh I'm not really sure why normies are into it, I feel like it's pretty hard-coded to appeal to queer people, but maybe I'm like projecting or being cringe and weird about it, idk.
I hope they don't make another daddy issue arc
It was pretty solid for sure. Majority of the songs are bangers tho a few fell flat for me. The only real issue for me is the pacing with some charter arcs happening super fast ruining the impact of some scenes and throwing away a lot of potential. Thats mostly a time constraint tho so can't place that too hard on the writers. Overall though definitely worth watching

Then season 2 will also be a Mommy issue arc if the post-credit scene is anything to go by

Does Michael Morbius make a cameo?

He does actually!
He morbs into hell and says the instant classic, "My vampire dick is ready for sucking! IT'S FUCKING TIME!!!"

I morbed so hard when I sat that scene. Truly the scene of all time.
I don't need a music scene to tell me who I am

I dont understand how HH survived as long as it did
Many, many people predicted that HH was "dead on arrival" as far back as it was created, in 2019 (I forget the years time goes by so fast)
They had very good voice actors like Cristina Vee to assist the project, so "WHU HAPPEN?"
It was okay, I think Hazbin did good at matching it's audience's expectations, so this season 2 it's getting is definitely well earned. Look forward to what they do next with the series! As long as the team keep riding the momentum it's carried from it's conceptions I think it'll be fine.

Probably because a lot of people who fall into the normie category of people in mainstream media miss the edginess of the 2000's era and, without any irony involved Vivzy's style of art falls into that kind of edgy aesthetic.
And it's also a musical about Sinners and Hell so, you're gonna have that crowd of people who are attracted to the macabre aspect of it when there are several people who happen to like that kind of thing in the land of normies who aren't really goth or some other sub culture like punk or emo.
