Favorite version of adobe flash/animate?

What is to you, your favorite version of flash/adobe animate? Most popular one seem to be macromedia flash 8 for nostalgia reasons, but I really am starting to love CS5.5/CS6 because no subscription attached to it. I think I may outright refuse to use the creative cloud version of flash just because I have contempt for subscriptions for software rather than a service such as video streaming or something like that. What about you?

Flash Pro CS6 + EDAP Tools is the best in terms of features, performance and stability.

Just make sure to always use an AS2.0 document as this is almost entirely bug free.

CS5.5 and CS3 come second and third. Flash 8 is usable, but cannot compete with the above and has many serious bugs and limitations.

Animate (all versions) is not even beta-stage software. It is plagued with hundreds of bugs, unreliable, prone to corrupting its own files, and quite unpleasant to use.

What really sucks the most about CS1-6 is how adobe took down the activation servers. So even if you bought a legal copy, you can't use it anymore. I can still use the trial period, but can I reset that as adobe doesn't want me to at all pay for a legal key to it.

Flash MX aka Flash 5 has the cleanest brush tool but I'd say that the rest of its capabilities aged poorly by now and it's a bit too clunky to use on its own in a modern context. I think Animate CC, though still not perfect is probably the best version feature-wise, generally speaking.

I don't know why but a lot of animators on YouTube give out serial keys & leaks. But yeah.

I currently use Macromedia Flash 8. The eighth version of Flash made in 2005.

I also prefer macromedia, I recently got 8!

Flash 8 quite easily, especially with shurikens vcam on a small 16:9 canvas (768 by 432), it has the advantage of rarely crashing, though detailing is kind of tough when you need to keep a 100% zoom level

My favourites are Flash MX 2004 and 8.

The CS versions are okay, but I don't use about 99% of the features flash added after 8, so I don't bother with them.

Animate has some good tools, but it's too pricey.

Well, I used Flash CS4 for most of my animations. Though, I tried some other versions before like Flash 8 and CS3.

Mine is MX 2004. The creative choices on the tools feel way better than animate and it takes less space from my PC's storage. It's much more pratical for me than Animate. I would like to try CS3 just to see what I can do.

Flash CC15 is suddenly very laggy for me, not really useable for larger projects any more. I wonder if Windows 10 updated something over Christmas? I've been using it for roughly 10 years lol.

Anyway, I may need to switch to a more modern version of Animate - any suggestions on which version has the best performance and least crashes?

You can still use Flash CC15? I thought they moved to a "fuck you, you're updating now" pipeline since 2013.

Adobe only distributes the latest 2 versions I think, but I have a subscription and the other versions still work with the subscription if I find them on the seven seas.
