remember a few months ago when Disney announced The Simpsons movie 2?
Well we gotta be a bit more patient
I here it's been switched because the original release conflicted with the release of the Minecraft Movie 2, but considering the development hell the previous one went through, I don't have high hopes for if they'll keep their original release date.
The original release date wasn't too far off from the original movie's release date which would make this joke make more sense
in fact, that episode (season 19, episode 1: "He Loves to Fly and He D'ohs" which. uses this chalkboard gag) came out 19 years and 345 days before this new release date, compared to the 19 years and 361 days between the sequel's original release date and the first movie's theatrical release (though Springfield, Vermont got it 6 days earlier according to Wikipedia)
