So a few days ago I was scavenging the infamous Aesthetics Wiki. For how easy it is to clown on aesthetics and """-cores""", I do like the concept of being able to find a piece of media and see what other media looks similar to it.

So I was specifically looking for what aesthetic Super Paper Mario was in, as I found the game's artstyle was extremely intriguing. This led me to the gigantic ARP 2600 sized Superflat Pop page.

I am not joking when I say every piece of media from the 2000s was in that fucking page. I swear it was clear that the page should've been split into like 15 different categories with the whole smorgasbord of shit in there.

But while doomscrolling the monolith called The Gallery, I came across some promotional material for Homestar Runner, featuring apparently the entire cast.

Prior to this I basically knew nothing about the series outside of HS and Strong Bad, so words couldn't describe how confused I felt when I first saw THIS

I know it's like a kid's cartoon and they have to have goofy designs, and SPM is infamous for having "weird" character designs but it's like

I don't get it

And plus some of these look genuinely horrific, and by some I mean THIS MOTHERFUCKER

Lord knows what that thing is thinking behind those eyes.

Hell this intrigued me so much I even visited the damn website

apparently this character's called Pom Pom, and he came to this world thingy from the Isle of Pom where fellow Poms bounced and frolicked merrily with him.

but I don't care about what upbringing that man had, I can tell from those eyes that that man is a bona fide hazard to the public and must sent to an asylum, no, SUPER-asylum.

So saying that I'll admit that I have gotten a bit more used to these designs, of course they're still goofy as shit but it's not like "what the fuck am I looking at goofy"

but if a man could yap about a 60-year old animation company, I can yap about horrifying designs in a 25 year-old children's animated flash series most people either probably forgot about or have better things to do than to think about it
