how do you plan on improving? 2025-11-27 15:09:07

I know I've over shared this a lot both online and in rl

but I'm trying to stop uploading both here and on youtube for about a year until I see improvements.

like....major improvements.

seriously. I personally want to come back to uploading during August 13th 2026!

so how do you guys intend on improving?

my friend tells me I should improve my overall style; maybe improve on things like the fundamentals,

I mean...I remember hearing my work is like Chuck Jones meets Anime.

there's that.

When you say "improve," do you mean animation? Because that last thing you mentioned about your style, that it's like anime and Chuck Jones, I don't know what you mean. Stopping posting could be a mistake; how will you know if you're improving? The perspective of various people plays an important role, whether in general or specific terms, and disappearing for a year... are you kidding me? It doesn't make sense.

Personally, your style doesn't remind me of anything in particular, not even anime. At least to improve, I observe and apply what I learn. As long as I know what I'm doing and I repeat the process, I know there will be improvement sooner or later, regardless of whether it's animation or drawing.

My art :) - My art thread :3 - Some of my OCs :]

If you're reading this: have a nice day!

People don't tend to improve in isolation; I've never seen someone drop off the face of the earth and come back dramatically better than when they left, I only see people gradually improve while honing their craft in places where they can get a lot of feedback. If you want to get better, keep working, keep posting your work, and hold yourself to higher standards every time you do. Make every project a test of new skills that you need to practice, fail, get feedback, try again and again until you get it right.

well, my friend who specializes in Indie gaming inspired me to...at least, for the bit of it...do things in animation for myself

to be honest you're right. not posting is going to drive me nuts. but my wish to come back? I will have to figure that out on my own. and what to upload, again...is up to me and what I want to do for myself.

all how you spread it around, you know?
