Advice on running an animation jam?

Hello! Getting right to the point, I wanted to ask if anyone here has advice on running an animation jam. I have participated in some group animation projects over the years but never run something like this personally. I have been looking to do one with my friends and since I know some folks here have run them over the years I felt like this would be a good spot to ask for any wisdom. Mostly I'm worried about finding music that won't be slammed by copyright and is long enough and keeping things well organized and running smoothly and stress free.

If anyone has experience doing anything like this I'd love to hear your experiences and wise words of advice. Thanks

I have never hosted any Animation Jams, but I have hosted an animation collab so they might be similar.

The best advice I can give is to go in prepared, write yourself an action plan and make sure it has room to expand or contract. Managing a group of people is not as easy as it looks or sounds, so make sure you spare enough time to chase after people. Set yourself targets and deadlines, make sure communication is kept with each member and they know these deadlines. Give yourself enough time, deadlines come quick and fast. Stress and not working smoothly come with the territory, some of the biggest collab hosts on Newgrounds have some issues. That's what keeps the hosts on their toes. As for music search the Audio portal here on NGs, this place has some killer musicians and some are open to work with people on collab/jams.
