Generally, unless you're a big name with a lot of listeners, it's probably not going to be worthwhile for you. Even then, I question the ethics of the company.
From what I've been made aware, Spotify will not actually dish out royalties to you unless you make above a certain threshold of listens. Smaller artists get fucked by this. The company also has problems with AI bots farming streams and fake bands soaking up listens. It's not a good environment.

Venus Theory on YouTube has done some good work covering this topic as well. Personally I don't upload to Spotify anymore because I don't make any money from it. I had a good handful of people listening to my music casually on Spotify for a while--before the demonetization of 86% of the music--and I would have made about 5$ over the course of more than a year. That is a complete joke, not even enough for a payout.
