Why do innocent shows (The Loud House & Bluey) have degenerate fandoms, but darker shows (Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul) have nicer fandoms?

My guess is that if fans of a dark show wanted dark material involving those characters, they'd just watch the show; the fan material fulfills the show's unrealized niche. And vice versa.

Bascially that. Also, in the case of some shows, like Loud House, there are specific scenes and episodes that attract adult fetishists. It's unfortunate but it should come as no surprise, and the only thing you can do is to ignore the weird part of the fandom of your favorite cartoon, or enjoy the show on your own without interacting with the fandom at all. It's an acquired skill but it's doable.
What I don't recommend doing is gatekeeping only specific "correct" parts of a fandom of a show and openly telling the degenerates to get lost.
Many want to push the envelope for attempt to show mature or to put their mark. to wanting show maturity and not want be taken as a joke. Same method that name a toy an action figure, a farce to deny acceptance playing. Still that trick works as find sucker and still choose to exploit. Shame as there was time it was thought to be deep
As for putting a mark, like many waiting for public domain they feel the have one chance to make impression. They went there and got the attention. May count as some boldness for taking a step.
