Any alternatives for Adobe Premiere Pro?

So my Adobe license (left over from my time in college) is about to expire soon and I need an alternative so I can work on production for future animations

I heard of DaVinci Resolve, that could be a potential replacement, but are there any more alternatives that could interest me?

I use a Mac btw

Your help would be greatly appreciated ;)

Final Cut Pro is the next major option on Mac. Serendipitously, Apple announced today a subscription bundle for its suite of creative apps (FCP included) called Apple Studio One, for around $13 USD a month. Otherwise FCP $299 flat.

However the way FCP functions (see: magnetic timeline) is quite different than Premiere or Resolve, and it has been a contentious point since a major redesign of the software years and years ago.

Even though Resolve was already mentioned, it’s relevant to point out that Resolve’s “Edit” tab will drop you in an environment that more-or-less resembles and works like Premiere. I use Resolve for my own work, and am satisfied with the free version.

There’s Kdenlive, which is made by KDE who is the same group that makes Krita. It’s free and open source, though somewhat rough around the edges.
