Artists! We’re hosting a Gato Roboto Art Contest and there are other cool tag-based art events this month, like ToonJune and Kaijune. Last month was MerMay if you missed it.

We’re also hosting a Wick Editor Game Jam. Wick is a free, web-based tool for making games and animation. It works a lot like traditional Flash and has been making a lot of updates based on feedback from the community. Take it for a spin! You don’t even have to sign up or anything.

The Tales of Alethrion Kickstarter has been a success; thank you everyone who supported it!

A new episode of the @ACoupleOfCrickets podcast released this week. This podcast covers a lot of material on Newgrounds and you should give it a follow! Nice to see @horizon-hugger get some love in there, too.

While on the topic of NG podcasts, you should also be sure to follow @GroundsPatrol. Dive deeper into NG; there’s lots of cool stuff you’re probably missing.

I really liked In Sickness a lot. Great art style accompanied with great animation, colors, and story. Glad to see it win first place for movies!!!

SHOOOOOOOM was robbed.

In all seriousness, big congrats to ninjamuffin99 and everyone who placed this month. I feel like I say this every month, but there were a ton of really great submissions in May. Which just goes to show how great of a place NG is to be in right now. This community is really going strong, and it fills my little heart with joy.

And Tom, thanks again, I really can't thank you enough. Your continued support for A Couple of Crickets really means so much to me. I really hope that people here see ACOC as a way of catching some of those really good submissions each week that may have slipped through the cracks and not gotten the attention they deserve.

And shout out to Grounds Patrol, happy to see ya still going strong and growing. As willKMR once quoted, "a rising tide lifts all boats."

Let's all keep up this momentum and make June another fantastic month!

Terrible how SHOOOOOOM was robbed of it's rightful spot by yet another big titty game (BTG). I thought that the reason Tom changed it so that there were less options this month was to prevent BTGs from stealing spots from the rightful winners. Where is the justice in this world! XD

Mother's Waltz wasn't animated as strongly as the others, and I didn't quite "get it". The music in it wasn't bad.

The music in "In Sickness" left A LOT to be desired. Couldn't stand it.
