On Monday we introduced custom profile picture shapes.
Today we launched another big update! User page galleries now utilize large thumbnails and have added search, sorting and filtering capability. We still default to listing everything by date and grouping by year but you can now sort by score or popularity, or via specific search terms.
I used @BridgeofFaust in a mock-up previously, check out their gallery to see it for real!
If you’re logged in, your personal filters will now apply to user pages. If you aren’t logged in, the default view will list everything but adult-rated thumbnails will have the art covered to avoid visual surprises.
Your filters are now being applied to all areas of the user page, so things like Favorites will be based on your filter settings, even though we haven't plugged the filter buttons into every page yet.
Supporter perk: If you’re a supporter, you’ll see the option to add suggested tags to your galleries. You can use these to highlight common themes in your work, or browse by series name. Thank you everyone who helps to keep all this going!
Now that we’ve switched to large thumbnails, you might stumble on artists who have old blurry thumbnails that haven’t been remade yet. If you’d like to bring a favorite artist to our attention, you can do so in the Thumbnail Crew thread. You can even help make larger thumbnails!
Thank @PsychoGoldfish for getting custom profile pictures going and thank @liljim for the user page update!
