Today’s tablet recipient is @TurtleManHQ, who has been using a mouse to draw on a PC, or their finger on a phone.
With a tablet, TurtleManHQ intends to get better at drawing on the PC!
2023 Highlight - Low Poly
Earlier this year I brought up wanting to host a Low Poly Day here on NG and while that hasn’t been set in stone yet, today we’ll be revisiting some low poly works from the past year!
@brwler made several movies this year featuring Miao Miao and Appy, as well as art featuring other characters, like D-MON and JUNKO.
@Macabre1031 introduced a promising new series with NECRO-NANCY 64: Haunted VHS. The follow-up episode, Spooky House, is coming up next!
@jumpbreak96 has been sharing all sorts of cool characters from their Street Devil universe.
@violxiv reimagined Steamed Hams but in 3D, thrilled us with Koopa Cape Chaos, shared fun animated art and she has something spooky on the way!
@horizon-hugger shared a series of short animations featuring his OC, Amara.
@ndcanton revisited Starfox dialog with The War on Christmas.
@GabeTuna shared a delightful zombie short for Halloween.
@KevinTrentin imagined an Amphibia PS1 game.
@Xinus22 created a low poly take on @Dreaminerryday’s OC, Gasoline Suunada.
@NeoValo made an assortment of cool low poly robots!
@NeonShambles created a low-poly Wapeach and a chibi version of @horizon-hugger’s OC, Amara!
@UnevenPrankster modeled some Tidy Witches!
@TomDoy created a low poly entry for the Taifau Cafe Art Contest!
@Twislrs shared low poly art based on Sgt. Frog and FLCL.
@Fahr shared a 3D take on their demon OC.
@IllusionOfMana mixed pixel art and low poly for this charming City Block.
@Toxicoow rolled out a round 3D chicken.
Finally, @phonkmatej breathed life to a frightening French toast monster.
Many of us here enjoyed your low poly art and animation this year and we hope to see lots more in 2024! Maybe Low Poly Day will finally become a thing, too.
