‘Tis the season for our annual drawing tablet giveaway!
The XP-Pen Deco 01 V3 remains our tablet of choice, let me know if you recommend something in a similar price range.
We are limited to only sending tablets to US residents and tablets will ship directly from Amazon to individual recipients. If you are under 18, please get permission from your parents before applying. Only a select number of candidates will receive tablets, so manage your expectations.
If you are in need of a drawing tablet and consider yourself a worthy candidate, please PM me with the following information:
- Why you need and what you hope to achieve with a new drawing tablet.
- Links with examples of your existing art / animation.
- Your full name and US mailing address.
- Your phone number, for Amazon delivery support.
Your name, mailing address and number won’t be used for anything outside of the Amazon delivery, unless Amazon does something with that, which is out of our control.
It’s ok if you already have a drawing tablet, assuming it’s broken / not working well.
For now I am holding off on opening this up to sponsors but depending on the demand for tablets I may put a call out for sponsors later.
Student Films
I’m preparing our annual Student Film Showcase. If you made an animated student film this year and haven’t shared it on NG, consider doing that now!
Tag your entry with “student-film” and the optional “thesis-film” tag if it’s your thesis film. Additional context in the author commentary is also helpful, including details like what art school you are attending and what year of school you were in when you made the piece. Information like this helps people who are curious about schools and is also useful for historical documentation.
