I'm not dating anyone right now but i didn't tell it to anyone that i dated since i began doing Edeshye. Not that i wouldn't.. it's just that none of these relations got past casual, so there were no reasons to.

I mentioned to my wife about a year ago that I've been drawing as a hobby. She asked what I draw and I told her vaguely that it was figure drawings, usually of women. She asked me why and I simply shrugged. Other than that, I've never really talked about it to anyone. While I'm proud of my work and my progress, I don't really feel comfortable sharing those details about how I spend my free time, let alone showing anyone the actual art I make.

I'm technically out there with that kind of stuff, so I don't find it necessary to bring it up unless they ask. However, my husband knows and supports my work which I'm grateful for.

Like, I went through FOUR different passes for Yuri's (this is DDLC btw) arms alone. See, I started on the shading trying to figure out how to do free-hand vector shapes in Clip Studio after the raster color fills had me worrying about scalability. Only to find out CSP doesn't have free-hand vector shapes. Except it does, it just doesn't want to admit it!
See, the thing is after the third pass trying to make vector lines into vector shapes - which I failed to do and which online official sources said would still need to be filled with raster fills - I happened upon someone who found a work around.
CSP has a tool that lets you make text balloons. These text balloon are autofilled with any color you choose, can be vectors and have a free hand option. All of the shading you see in that gif was intended to have text fit in it. The highlights are normal vector lines.
Got...dayum, this program's just... *sigh* Christ...Imma hafta change the pipeline for the next loop I make. Lawd half mercy!
So. I sketched up something pretty rad during laundry day. So this artist, Gameshrimp did some concept art on what my crush would look like as a robot, so guess what I did. I lewded the fuck out of it. Can't wait to sketch the 2nd draft digitally when I get home.

One day I just told my partner I wanted to draw porn and he was like "do it" and now he's a great support (but like, we both already knew we were perverts so it's not like me wanting to draw it came out of left field). I've also told some of my closest friends, but I haven't really shown them anything unless they asked.
Then one day my partner was on the phone with his mom and he told her that I was drawing a lot recently, so naturally she asked about the subject matter and he just told her it was porn. I was like "whhhyyy??" but she's fairly open-minded and has painted at least artistic nudes, so luckily it's not some kind of scandal.
I've been trying out a different style. I'm not sure if I'm "done" with this piece just yet. But maybe I should start fresh with something new in this style, having learned from making a few mistakes.

This ended up looking great! I really look forward to maybe seeing more stuff like this, if it isn't too taxing on you, haha. The shine on the clothing is really believable, the faces are excellent, and I really love some of the wacky je ne sais quoi that it has simply from being animated.
I'm really having a lot of fun trying to do realistic shading.

Thanks! I absolutely think I could make more stuff in this style. It's quite a bit more time consuming than what I've done previously. I think I might try to abstract away some of what made this take so long, and simplify my process slightly. If I don't go that route, than perhaps I'll move away from NSFW and focus on portraits in this style. While I think the face was the most interesting and challenging part of this piece, it still doesn't look quite like how my model looked, and I'd like to try to nail that.

Well, yes you are still at the starting line, also not to mention that process improvement is an ongoing thing.
After mastering the basics (AND coming back to them every now and then) you'll get faster and faster.

Turns out that I cannot, in fact, stop drawing smut.
I had been scouted a little while back, but I lost my privileges. I think that might have had something to do with M ratings on tits and slightly suggestive works, as well as having some of my earlier, less-good pieces tagged as not sketches. I've cleared the older, sketchier, works from being submitted to the art portal, and I've tagged basically everything as A rated. I think my latest works really shine, and I'd really like to be considered for the art portal again.
Anyway, I'm not begging but if somebody thinks my work deserves a broader audience, I wouldn't let you down. I'm not 100% sure how the scouting and descouting process works. It still seems pretty mysterious to me.
I hope you all like this piece. I discovered the blending / blur tool in Krita, and hopefully I haven't overdone it.
