You are thrown in a place, similar to your home, but engulfed in darkness.

Your staff can peek into your world and light your way through this maze.

Only one objective in in your mind.

Go home.

This is Lumenfield, a short puzzle-platformer made for the 20 Second Game Jam, where you are stuck in a dark world, and your staff can light it, peeking into another light-filled side of this world.

Your objective is simple, get to the end of the room, where a gate awaits to take you to the next room. It contains about 5 levels, though you are encouraged to explore and try lighting areas at your leisure.

You can speedrun the game in 20 seconds, if you know what you're doing. This time, while I did make it short, I tried not to restrict too much to that mark. I wanted this game to have a relaxed playthrough.

Anyway, that's about it. Have fun.

Pretty decent puzzle platformer! The main conceit of light being used to show or remove platformers is nice, and while it's a bit janky at times and the aiming controls are a bit awkward, the game looks and feels ok overall, making for a fun little journey.

The main issue I have with the game is that it feels a little too short and too simple: it begs for more levels that introduce some sort of evolution or twist to the central mechanics. The length is understandable given the game jam limits though, and hopefully you can take it as a compliment that I was successfully hooked and do want more!

Solid for what it is and for what it was made for. Personally, I would have preferred using the arrow keys to charge and shoot instead of using the K button. But I do appreciate having more than one hit point, and everything else was good.

Nice short game, I like its mechanic of light.

Pretty cool little game.

Pretty unique mechanic, but game's a bit short
