I want the ball.
Animated on my Sony a7iii over the course of a week or two. The hand drawn frames took a big chunk of the effort. I struggled with keying those. The shot at the end with the ball and picture frames, is VFX. Mostly Photoshop. Edited in Davinci Resolve 18.
Starring Jim Belden
Music by Monty Willoughby
Assisted by Kate Peterson
I want the ball.
That intentional pursuit of children-aimed style combined with the cruelty and curses that are obviously adult make a bizarre hypnotic juxtaposition that works perfectly well. And I'm amazed at the stop-motion, the mixed media, everything.
You're an absolute beast of an animator.
oh man that was a ride. i really appreciate you guys taking me along, kate too, whoever she is. this short made me laugh so many times and the set design and art direction are beyond some of the best stuff ive seen in largescale feature films. this team needs a real budget and some heavyweight backing.
This reminds me of dont hug me im scared
incredible stuff.
