Demo Version

Sanguine 3 Demo is the same as the full game except that the player only has a single route through the overworld and a few extra places are inaccessible. There's no surprise cutoff; you can play this game and beat it. Average playtime is about an hour.

Overview

Sanguine 3 is a side scrolling platformer where you play as the blood sucking vampire, Eleanor. Stalk and abduct humans but avoid detection or you'll be shot to shreds! Trek your way through a world of endless night, slaying legions of monsters to get your revenge on the lich, Drauthu, and usurp his throne.

Blood

While holding a victim, hold the attack button to drain their blood, restoring health. Fresh blood triggers bloodlust, giving Eleanor an increase to her speed that lasts longer the more blood that you have. Being damaged will send out globs of blood the that player can touch to recover!

Advanced Movement

Eleanor takes a moment to recover when landing on the ground, but you can press down and forward to do a tumble instead. Landing is faster than tumbling, but tumbling gives you greater speed. Choose wisely.

In addition to wall hiking, sliding up walls and sliding across ceilings, Eleanor can grab a platform mid air to zip-line on it. Each of these techniques increases the players maximum speed until they touch the ground again.

Power Up

Grab a purple orb and sprout ethereal wings. The wing power up gives Eleanor an upwards boost when the jump button is held during a fall. The faster Eleanor falls, the greater the upwards boost, vastly increasing her overall mobility.

Curses ...with a Twist

Green enemies will slime Eleanor, adding it to her blood bar. Slime doubles as a form of hitpoints, but will block the acquisition of more blood and explode Eleanor if the bar overfills. Take damage from another source to knock the slime back out of you, but beware, as the slime will morph into critters that will try to slime you again!

Frost cannot hurt a vampire, but it will slow you down. When Eleanor is hit with an icy blast, she will move slower for a time. The silver lining is that it makes her immune to fire base damage.

Controls

Use the arrow keys to move, duck and climb ladders.

Use Z to jump, grab walls and platforms.

Use X to attack (once you have your axe) and drain victims.

Use ESCAPE for the menu.

Controls can be rebound in the options menu.
