I keep getting the show mixed up with Helluva Boss and I'm not sure why. Never seen either.

Nah didn't enjoyed it, but mark my words, that show is becoming the adult version of steven universe.
It's actually not bad, I was expecting a lot worse coming from a relatively unknown artist. While it does fall into the typical adult comedy pitfall humor, (chiefly being heavy swearing and edgy humor for it own sake) it's not a total deal breaker.
More importantly, it actually shows queer romance without agenda baiting stereotypes or being too tasteless and crass by Western adult animation standards, so that's a positive I guess.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Musical cartoon with tons of colorful characters, many of which are some kind of gay or lesbian, about said characters uniting against an ancient enemy?
No way

Yeah, this is pretty much my exact thoughts as well.
I enjoyed watching it, and I have lots of respect for the team for being able to make it this far with the show.
But god, it’s not good lol.
Chillin' and grillin'

Hey my clocka that's a good question! Why is it called Hazbin Hotel? Well one could say that it's a play on the phrase Has-been a person who was once something of a debutant or celebrity and seeing that two of the characters staying at the Hazbin hotel were once overlords in Hell it makes some kind of sense. (Radio Demon, and the bartender fuck) Maggie falling out of her old profession as well as the snake guy kinda losing his chances to being one of the big Vs or whwatever are further examples.
However, Angel Dust isn't really a has been as he's still actively preforming? They don't show someone who's replaced him in his porn stardom, and as for the other inhabitants of the hotel they really aren't people of great renown as far as I can see from the show. (Charlie isn't a has been as she's still in the process of being someone for example). Beyond all that who can say? Alliteration is funni

This is not a very controversial opinion to be fair, there's a ton of people anti-jerking it saying like "bro why tf is this shit the most viewed thing amazon prime video has ever made".
to be fair, it is amazon prime. that bar isn't to hard to clear.

Same creator. Both are about hell. Both have an onslaught of fuck words and sex jokes. I like Helluva more but that's like 90% because anything with Richard Horvitz in it is gold.

Mostly the same stuff everyone else has been saying. I enjoyed it but it's definitely rushed. Looking forward to more interactions between characters but more filler-y less plot-y/needed (?) (especially with Nifty as we haven't gotten much from her besides gags and when she was talking to Alastor before the fight). Also looking forward to the songs because I actually really like the music! But also a small nitpick: For some reason it just feels so strange to hear Alastor swear though? I thought he would keep his composure more? Idk lol
Season 2 we gotta do something about that soundtrack. Mostly uninspired compositions, which will always be worse for me. At least if it sucks but you tried something out I can respect it. The rewatches are going to be getting a lot of skips when the singing starts.
Other than that, loved it. Happy for Viv and the team's success ❤️

I can at least sleep well tonight knowing an indie animation surpassed Rings of Power, even if it's not the type of indie animation I'm particularly interested in.

Like Helluva Boss that was free on YouTube?
Saw season 2, After fighting battling heaven in debate than fighting in the font lines Charlie called a cruel dictator. Tunnel vision of gaslighting and grief took her. Little things help out a lot as that made Baxter wanted to help. Emily lost an eye with her wing lost so that hurt a lot hit by power beam of light.
I am amaze how easy detractors are fooled by Radio Demon surrendering or just searching for anything to insult the series.
