A beuatiful sounding game, and a delight to play. I'm having struggles beating it, and the controls are a bit slippery, though that may just be my computer. Even so, When it only takes a second to restart the level, and only a few more to get back to wherre you were, a bit of dificulty is nothing.
Beautiful. This game gives you exactly what it promises. Also I had no idea there was an option to restart so I've just been murdering my little blob over and over again each time I lost hope. Oops.
lowkey fits in with cool math games, peak
Oh... it's a puzzle-platformer. Here, I was hoping we'd get to control a Weird Eyeball Spaceship. Maybe upgrade it, shoot stuff... maybe some light gravity shenanigans? Alas...
Its' competent enough at what it's trying to do. I felt like the player character would benefit from more hang-time at the apex of their jump. Collisions could be a little more generous, too. Or maybe it's the fact that I'm trying to do all of this on a keyboard?
Check out this old GDC video, "Maths for Game Programmers: Building a Better Jump." It's extremely helpful:

If you're already implementing all of that, then maybe the overall movement and jump speeds just need to be slower? My reflexes just aren't up to it, and I don't think it's entirely my fault.
It's giving more Jill of the Jungle than Super Mario Bros, mechanically, in the jumps. Very snappy. Very unforgiving. If you release the left arrow at the wrong millisecond, you WILL miss the tile you're trying to hit, period, no mid-air correction on the way down is possible.
