  • Level up my general art skill e.g. proportions, backgrounds, lighting, etc.
  • Draw more larger, full colour illustrations.
  • Finish at least 3 comics regardless of lenght and get over my weird posting anxiety (its only with comics!)
  • Try new mediums e.g. lino, low poly models, etc.

I want to draw my OCs more! I want to draw Character Sheets and maybe also a little comic! Definitely want to fill at least on Sketchbook with my OCs and also finish a handful of old Sketchbooks that are still just half full! Finishing unfinished artworks! I also want to fill one of these Art wheels...you know the one that show what have accomplished at the end of the year! I want also start getting a table at artist alleys again! That would be nice! Bonus would be doing little animaion with my OCs🥹 and of course just having fun!❤️

  1. Learn things i was never brave enough to try [Backgrounds, Perspecitves]
  2. Improve on things like Shading, and generally just improve my style
  3. Maybe do more digital stuff?

I've been wondering about that myself, last year I did want to up my art game but ended up doing very little, just felt somewhat lost and I want to have more to show by the end of this year than last year.

Couple goals I have to start with, complete an online drawing course, It's one I've done before but I wanted to go back over it to help re-learn the basics, I'm about half way so far.

Second goal, I got this book for drawing ink landscapes, I'm going to try and do all the lesions from that, got three uploaded so far, just started another one. Made a collection to track my progress.

Good luck in your own goals.

  1. Get better at actually rendering my art. Usually I just do pencil drawings
  2. Start seriously learning color theory. Both with digital and traditional art
  3. Start uploading my art on my social medias consistently
  4. Start writing some basic scripts and making animations
  5. And lastly, Start being more bold with my art!

Probably to get better at hands and promoting myself! Hands are really one of the biggest areas I still struggle at technically imo

  1. Try a new art program. I've been using Medibang Paint Pro for quite some time. I tried Krita a little bit, and it was way different than what I learned from Medibang. Now that it's 2026, it's time to make full use of Krita.
  2. Draw more female characters. If I were to make a ratio between men and women, it's usually 10:2. I think this would be good practice as well.
  3. Draw more backgrounds. Can't always stick to characters forever.
  4. Participate more collabs! I'm seeing more of them pop up here lately, and this could be a good sign for practicing punctuality. Last time I did Secret Santa 2025, I started waaay too late and had to ask for an extension.
  5. This might be a hard one, but I'll try to start my own commissions. Though, this wouldn't happen anytime at 2026 since I don't have much of an audience for it. Maybe one day.
  6. The most important one, STOP PROCRASTINATING. It should be obvious.

My art plans for 2026 is to experiment and practice more art skills and style, create more OCs and flesh out the old ones and then make projects and stories with them. And also get more commissions.

give my ocs a proper story or at least some simple reference sheets :( i suffer from the ¨my ocs only exist in the imagination realm¨ syndrome. also i guess i should retake some hobbies i dropped last year and work in a more solid ¨¨¨art portfolio¨¨¨

For 2026, I am aiming to:

- Learning human anatomy properly (since I usually tend to “get away with it” rather than applying real learning), no more excuses!! luckily I feel like I've been doing pretty well lately (for example, these days I've been learning a lot about the anatomy of the arms and oh boy, it's really exhausting, can you believe that the forearm has more than 19 muscles?!)

-Learn or be more consistent in drawing backgrounds. It's something that has always been difficult for me, and I feel like it's something that adds a little more “flavor” to my drawings.

-Organize an event/collaboration.

-And draw a lot more in general, whether it's practice or complete drawings.

I feel like 2025 wasn't a year I took full advantage of for drawing (beyond the time my full-time job demands), so I plan to commit to it this year.

Good luck to everyone else!

I have a lot of resolutions besides wanting to grow my freshly new collection of physical media, most of them are art related.

- first would be to get the energy to finish my newly improved reference sheets for my characters, and their alternative outfits

- second would be to keep on improving my art, whether it be shading, rendering, backgrounds, you get the idea

- third would be to finish writing some lore for my characters.

I have a couple ambitions for my art this year:

  1. Continue polishing my anatomy and background skills
  2. Try shading with more depth to colors (Less flat coloring)
  3. Try doing more realism in some artworks
  4. Finish Lylat Fighters (It's a specific project I'm working on, it's basically a Star Fox-fighting game character select) - I have all the characters ready but I haven't coded it and finished it yet
  5. Maybe start doing comics for my OCs and for stuff I'm a fan of (Mainly Star Fox and F-Zero)

I think this year I wanna figure out a way to draw faster cause whenever I try to do any sort of finished fully rendered and linearted piece I take AN ETERNITYYYYYY. Even worse if I try to make a short gif/simple animated loop out of it.

Talking about full pieces, I wanna be able to finish my projects more. I have a billion half done abanoned cool drawing ideas that I like, but I simply can't do all of em bro </3

And aside from that I wanna try drawing more things related to my oc's personality or 'lore' aside from just cool flashy sorta shallow drawings, which I love doing and will forever keep doing but I also gotta try doing more 'story' type of stuff!!!

2026 will mark 10 years since I've started drawing comics for real. The year couldn't have been better to push more into that field.

It's on the mouse!

here's mine

  • Get involved in some collabs I like.

  • Start drawing other characters, as a art practicing type of challenges for me.

  • Improve the way I draw.

For me

1: nail my style down and really discover myself through drawing

2: nail down the basics and fundamentals (primarily linked to my third goal)

3: draw at LEAST ONCE every day until I fill my notebook (120 pages or so, I average around 2 pages per day)

4: Get a drawing tablet and finally do digital art on newgrounds

5: more newgrounds oriented, but get at least 50 followers, 100 posts on the BBS, and at least post 10 finished pieces
