I don't know what so say, but I will try:

remember to stay strong
and remember to drink plenty of water!
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year's Eve, and here's to a New Year ^^

Well ya can't please everyone...
Admittedly I haven't consulted a style manual in decades. I don't write thread comments the way I would a formal essay. Speaking of essays, I hear most colleges & universities don't give essay assignments to students anymore because so few have sufficient command of English to write a passable essay. Is that true?

i don't even know where i should post my drawings, like, yeah I'll put some finished stuff on NG whenever I pull through and actually finish a drawing, but all my sketches and fun stuff idk man, I mostly send it to the group chat and forget about it.
anyone else feel a bit lost on where you can just post random doodles and ideas without feeling like you're in a empty void online?
Gotta start making art for 2026, butI think I'll start doing some warmup sketches until it clicks to me on what I want to do.
Would Da Vinci be a newgrounds kinda guy or a bsky kinda guy

Newgrounds for sure, the guy made too much in too many mediums not to take some advantage of NG's portals
Dude would make like 15 full flash RPGs a year

Is darkroom photography allowed?
Question does a severed arm towards the front of the picture and then a corpse in the background with it's lower half gone and intestines spilling out warrant setting it to A rating?
Currently getting close to finishing a piece that has that.

This is how I feel being a 16 year old on Newgrounds.

im pretty sure that A ratings are only ever used for porn, M should be enough
Classes are about to start... damn, and then I have to find a job... damn... Well, actually no, I'd still be 17, so I'd have to go to university... which would still be a damn.
Having some weird problems with image uploads... I've had this before but I thought I fixed it by changing which colour profiles are embedded with images. However, when I just now tried to upload a picture in my art thread it got garbled and is unrecognizable. I've seen other people with similar issues before and I've been told it particularly happens with *.GIFs, but I'm having it happen with *.JPEGs and *.PNGs too.
Anyone have any bright ideas? Last post in my thread is completely screwed up. It shows up fine in previews, I've been able to replicate it using project uploads, generating a preview image, and then checking that in the project list. The project upload itself seems fine, but the thumbnails exhibit this same, strange, garbled appearance.

I don't understand what you're talking about, boss. Are you referring to the last image in your thread? Or the link to the project?

The very last image attached to the post with the link to today's upload. It's appearing as garbled, white noise on my end.

I've never seen anything like it. But I know file types are configurable before exporting, so depending on your program, some setting might change things. However, if it only happens here on the forums, it's something to think about. You should preferably go to the "Where is /how to /help" forum and report it in the bugs thread or create your own.

Are you using firefox? I've really noticed once a blue moon it fucks up the upload for images.

Yes, I use Firefox or derivatives primarily. I don't have the ability to test anything else right now as I won't have access to my computer or artwork for a while, but I will look into Chromium-based browsers to see if there's a difference. Not a big fan of Chromium, but...
Suck at perspective? Why not give blender a shot?

Blender is to me, a powerful overlooked tool that can be more than just animation, it can help you better visualize how perspective works. You can download any free model from online (or just make your own crude and rough one very quickly) and rotate it as you see fit. If it's a human model, you can quickly add a sword or handgun or something to hold to get the gist of an action shot.
I remember that @chdonga mentioned once in the animation forum that blender can be an excellent tool to enhance art abilities and I'm stunned I didn't do this sooner. Thanks man.
