I’ve followed your work for a while now, and I think that you do have talent, and your animation skills are good. But at this point, you have become dependent upon the thing you say you stand against. Which is why this is more frustrating rather than funny.
For a year, you’ve been vocal about how bad AI art is, and I agree with a lot of that criticism. But the problem is that your recent cartoons are built around using AI, even if the intent is to mock it.
At some point, the satire stops feeling like commentary, and starts feeling like reliance. When every new project revolves around “AI bad,” but is still produced with AI tools, it comes across as contradictory, especially when those projects are taking front-page space on a site that’s historically about human-made animation.
It raises the question: if AI didn’t exist, what would this series be, and would there still be an idea here, or has AI become both the main character and creator?
In my opinion, I think you can do so much better on your own without the use of AI. If the goal is to champion human-made animation, I’d rather see that value expressed through original craft instead of repeated AI-made content.
Right now, this just feels like the pot calling the kettle black. AI has become a main character and creator in your series which detracts from you and your ability to create something that’s purely you, and highlights how good you are at what you do.
Paper is cool too, I guess
