The games asthetic is fighting zombies with farm equipment, and I must say it really does make it feel like you have no weapons and you enemies should have died ages ago

Gameplay:
Think you have what it takes to survive?
Defend your farm from the skeleton onslaught! You're Farmer Gab, and you need to protect RJ and your farm against the relentless monster waves. Inspired by Vampire Survivors, this farm-themed survival game challenges you to level up and select crops to protect yourself and your field.
This game is currently in its prototype phase, so you may encounter bugs and inconsistencies during gameplay.

for an unfinished free game, its damn good. hate the blue poisonmist perk cuz you wont see stuff anymore. also level progression is almost non existent after 20 minutes.
This is an excellent game which should be commended. I do believe that this is one of the best games I have ever seen here. However, as I feel that I take from the community by playing games without giving back, I have decided that I will help by giving constructive feedback.
Firstly, the shovels appear to be far to overpowered due to their infinite piercing. Despite their short range, I find that with a comparatively aggressive technique I can mostly destroy enemies using the shovels. I find that the shovels are far too powerful for their early-game status. This is likely due to the fact that the enemies tend to be highly clumped up and therefore infinite piercing is extremely powerful.
Another weapon of note is the Fish Missile. I find it rather pointless as by the time I have it I usually have the Shovels which are far stronger against crowds. The Fish Missile does not pierce significantly, does not come back after a strike, and deals the same damage. I find that its only advantage is range, which is weakened because of its extreme inaccuracy at long range, which is not specifically due to it, but instead due to screen size. I believe that the fastest way to allow the Fish Missile to be worth your time is by perhaps allowing it to home in on enemies or give it infinite piercing.
Next to notice is that the farm skin seems to be just that: a skin. Perhaps you could spread plant patches around the map that slowly grow and produce radishes, also known as hearts, I guess. You could also maybe have plants that grant a buff, such as lettuce giving faster attack speed and carrots granting increased damage. While the game on its own is rather interesting, it seems to be not particularly about farming on its own.
Furthermore, I find RJ to not be particularly helpful. That's assuming RJ is the chicken who trails me as I run away from spooky scary skeletons.
Perhaps RJ helps collect EXP or something of the sort. As of right now the only thing RJ has achieved is to scare me into believing that there's a mutant chicken chasing me and for me to roll into a golden skeleton. How very helpful. Otherwise, perhaps RJ could directly attack or provide the player with buffs.
As my fifth note, I think that the lack of melee weapons is rather frustrating, as most of the time enemies will run towards you. Only the Shovel could be considered melee and it's not very frequent. I'm thinking perhaps a scythe swinging around you at moderate speeds or an aura of something.
Additionally, projectiles are extremely hard to dodge, and also, at the end, there appears to be an endless stream of projectiles coming at me. Which appears to be rather unbalanced. I simply cannot do anything other than run and hope that my egg bombs get them or something. Could you perhaps lower the amount of projectiles because it gets really frustrating when the Nut-Trees spawn and lots of nuts go everywhere. What do I do?
Now... Tips for Players.
The rolling function grants i-frames which can be used to dodge through attacks effortlessly. With this I got a 15:36 run with 3573 kills.
While playing you more or less must choose one of two tactics.
To play Aggressively is to focus on your offensive weapons and take large risks. This strategy tends to get you killed, however, the idea behind this is sound. By killing enemies up close and personal, you can defeat them in seconds and collect EXP extremely fast. This is a highly risky technique.
To play Defensively is to focus on surviving and not being too worried about getting more EXP. This tends to result in...quite slow games. But it certainly is a viable technique.
fire game
I like it a lot, can't wait to see it in it's completed form.
