onEnterFrame continuing to run even after a MovieClip it's attached to is removed from the stage.
yeah idk about that. but nothing that a simple trace("asdfas"); can't verify lol

i used to put enter_frame functions and not remove them (i thought they got destroyed when the symbol was not on stage).
I had no idea why there were a bunch of error messages every single frame , but it was working so i just ignored them lol.
i managed to get the worst possible performance for a flash game.
Nowadays i'm being very thorough, though (thought it through!)!
This is new to me. I didn't know this was a thing. Is this an ActionScript 3.0 thing or just a general thing with ActionScript?

I've never used flash, does that function basically later scenes upon scenes all going on at once?
It's a loop, the code executes every frame (meaning 24 times per second if you're on 24 fps). for example if i want a time bar to get shorter and shorter i can set something like this inside the enter_frame function:
if(bar.width > 0){
bar.width -= 10;
}
else{
//destroy symbol or whatever
}
But for some reason the function does not destroy itself if you don't tell it to, even if you go to another frame in which the original symbol is not present. This caused the stacking of many enter_frame functions causing a bunch of errors, eventually fucking up the performance and lagging the shit out of the game.
So, if i understand your question right.. yes haha

You still have time to learn it for Flash Forward 2026 btw c:

this definitely deserves regular front page!
idk if this is a bug or intentional, but the angry faic saying "there's no user named ____" is not showing up

not tagging is bad both for the people who want to avoid it AND for people who want to find it (which is also bad for the uploader if they want clout). i lost count of how many times i failed to find a game i couldn't remember the name of because it didn't have the tags it should have.
exactly... i stopped browsing A rated art years ago because i cannot stand all the furries and other fetish things. My list of blocked tags is HUGE, but it's useless if people don't tag properly...
mostly because of twitter herd effect
don't get me wrong, the NFT craze was stupid, but the hate was basically herd behaviour and nothing more.
I made and sold three NFTs myself back in the day and the only thing i regret is not making them earlier.
to be fair i also regret buying one with the money lol

all i know is @joaoppereiraus 's Sally plush sold out
So for those which the first categories don't apply, they will have to acquire at least one month of supporter in order to verify their age, is that it?

Sounds like with how the internet is going, this is becoming inevitable, but hopefully some good changes happen sooner than later. Does the support cashflow help at all in the situation? Is there anything more money could do?
There are a lot of things money could do but realistically, it would take far more supporters than we are ever going to get by politely asking. Maybe once we start charging for age verification that will change.
Wait so like charging to look at the A rated stuff? Wouldn't that become a problem for NSFW artists trying to get exposure?
Age verification is now required by law in some places so it has to happen regardless, hopefully it will be a success.
it would be a one time thing per user tho.. would it be enough?
download flash and upload your games to this website i know called the new grounds dot com

Oh okay! Well thanks for the help, this is my first release so all this stuff is new to me
yeah i can see that, haha. good luck on your stuff. i'm an adult dev as well
Sorry one last question, what happens when the game reaches the bottom of the list? Like it looks as if as new games get posted the old games get pushed down until they eventually are not visible in the 60 recent game list.
So in my case, the game is no longer visible because 60 other games have been posted
Malachy gave you a link to the classic portal, but this is not the only way people find under judgement entries. There is also this link with unlimited scroll, so people will see your game regardless. Sometimes it can happen for submissions to stay under judgement for days, really. I said one day or so earlier because i thought adult content always had more clicks, so my bad.

Ahh thanks a lot! I don't think I would of found this on my own. Is there a way for a regular user to see how the votes are going or is it hidden until a decision is made?
