Hello!! Here's a small image dump of some behind the scenes stuff for the new cartoon, you can watch it here:

1. Warped panorama shot of all the frames stacked up by section.
2. Pokemon card size comparision. Most of the shots are about the size of the crayon one but for ones with camera moves, I doubled it up.
3. Crayon Orla design. Crayons get very messy with layering so not having the black outline took away a lot of bleeding of one colour into another.
4. Intro storyboard. This cartoon was pretty much fully formed in my head so I didn't have to do any sketching to figure out most cuts, just direct drawing.
5. Some shot plans for the first few cuts in the intro. This animation was done in the 'straight ahead' method, not pose to pose. So I had to map out all the key poses in a sketchbook first then hit each pose as I animate the shot from start to end.
6. A test of pencil instead of ink for the present day section. I kinda like it but the pencil adds a bit too much variation in the line and shimmers quite a bit. Best go for the bold even line of a brush pen. Faster too!
7. Screenshot of the Logic file. Each of those coloured blocks hold a bunch of the sound effects. I basically ordered them according to it's environment so that all the reverbs would be consistent with the room type.
