Day 2 completed! I feel like I might have to apologize for this one...
Day 1 complete! Not sure I'll be committing to every day this month, but I'll certainly be posting more than not :)
I definitely didn't almost fail the challenge or anything... That doesn't sound like something I would do at all...
Decided to make a solo piano piece today :)
I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find the time to make music, but I'm still giving it my all. Here's Day 16!
WOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAH WE'RE HALF WAY THERE!
Just having fun and messing around today :)
Doing some experimenting today ;)
This challenge is proving to be much more difficult than I anticipated, but I'm not willing to give up yet! Here's Day 11:
Day 10 was a little rough, ngl
Me when I complete day 9:
I'm just chillin' today :D
Jamuary beats to relax/study to for day 6!
Chill vibes for day 4 :)
Shaking things up with Day 3!
Despite nearly giving up already, I'm proud to present my track for Day 2!

Heya everybody! 3manon here. When I was busy judging all the songs in the AIMC24 to make my fanvoting top 10 I realised how big the music community really is and how cool it would be to host a huge collaborative event myself.
Lots of collab events have been done already, but what I never really saw yet was the people combining their contributions to make a whole, like how normal collab between producers go most of the time.
That's why I'm introducing the NGMC24! (NewGrounds MegaCollab 2024)
The goal of this event is to create one, huge, coherent track where EVERYONE can contribute. A great example of this is the :0ssembli, which is hosted by a good online friend of me ( https://arcerion.newgrounds.com/ ), which created Entropic Equilibrium, a 15 minutes long track where over 50 people contributed!

-HOW TO PARTICIPATE-
- Due to the audio Portal being actually massive, only contributions from scouted musicians will be considered.
- You can send anything you like over at the newgrounds Audio Portal collab center: https://discord.gg/XsnuFJwHmW, or in this thread here. This goes for samples, stems, midi melodies, maybe even entire sections, but it has to be in the key of D# (doesn't really matter if it's major or minor or if you go really bluesy with it).
- For the coming 3 months, until september the 15th, contributions to the megacollab will be accepted, after that (and during) I'll have to focus on making it as a whole.
- As the host, I'd like to choose some (the amount depending on how much appeal there is for this collab) section managers too, because mixing EVERYTHING would almost be an impossibly large task. DM me on discord or send a message in Newgrounds if you're interested in that role (with your motivation), be aware that this role is for people who are already quite advanced in music production.
- submissions must be e-rated
- the preferable tempo is 170 bpm, but this also can vary

Cya guys in the server or here!
PS: credit will be given where it is due, but there is no guarantee your submission will make it in the final product
This is really cool! Perhaps I'll try to make something for it if I feel inspired :D
Also, is there a preferred length that our submissions should be or is it just up to us as the musicians?

What are some questions you would like to ask?
Deadline for questions: July 25, 2024
If the episode gets made. The episode will be published on: August 8, 2024
@Tangerine - This may be a pretty cliche question to ask, but as one musician to another, I have to know: what made you decide to make music as your creative outlet of choice and what made you choose to make music in the style that you do?
I completely agree with Jernemies' point they made in the very beginning of their post. Adding different sections to a song instead of just making variations on the same theme can make it so much more interesting and engaging to listen to as well as bringing it a lot more life and character. I've been taking notes on my selections for favorites and I keep finding myself noting that they feel repetitive and sometimes a little boring because they don't have any notable B and C sections. I do understand the possible difficulty that comes with it and how sometimes repetition can work in a songs favor. but for a lot of these, I just didn't feel like this would've been the case. I do find myself making this same mistake within my own music and I definitely understand why it happens, but in a competition like this you really should be trying your best and pushing yourself beyond what you would normally create casually. Anyways, enough ranting, I just felt that it needed to be said. My list will be posted very soon, I just need to make some final decisions. I do want to say that all of the submissions are still very good and I've found many amazing artists that I wasn't previously aware of through this. At the end of the day, we all have a passion that we want to share, and if it makes us happy, it shouldn't matter if it's perfect.
My AIM submission :D
