In my case, it would be the playable build of Hostile Takeover, a cancelled expansion for Half-Life.
Seriously, the whole history behind this expansion is absolutely bonkers.
Many people love Sonic Heroes. Unfortunately, I'm not part of those people.
The fact that every time you fall from a platform is almost guaranteed to be a certain death is just too much for me.
Rail Canyon was the absolute bane of my existence.

I don't mind Yahtzee, but his statement that there's something wrong with using cards as game mechanics was unbearably ignorant and pretentious.
It would be like me saying that there is no point in using pixel art as a stylistic choice because we now have better things available.
I'm here for a last-month challenge! I'm planning to read at least 5 books before the year ends.

A fascinating book that explores the science, characteristics and virtues of psychopaths.
The book makes a thorough examination of what constitutes as a psychopath, their virtues (especially when it comes to social cognition), and what can non-psychopath people learn from these observations.
Just so you know, I discovered this book thanks to this episode of the Art of Manlines podcast.

I'M SO HYPED
I find the IDW comics to be pretty boring in my opinion, so I'm not going bonkers over this.
I'm happy for the fans of Tangle and Whisper, though.
Blender is always a great alternative. Both for 3D and 2D animation.
The UI is a bit lacking, though.
Just done reading my first book of the year.
1: Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise by K. Anders Ericsson, Robert Pool.
This book summarizes the research of the late K. Anders Ericsson, psychologist and researcher, who studied for decades the practice of professional performers (e.g. musicians, athletes, surgeons, etc.)
Brilliantly redacted, and directed towards regular people, "Peak" seeks to answer all the major questions behind the science of mastering a skill or discipline.
What makes a practice really effective? How much time does it take to master a skill? What's the role of innate capabilities in such process?
"Anyone who wants to get better at anything should read [Peak]"

I'm still skeptical if a new Spyro game will become a reality this year, but I really (really) want to see it.
We can only hope for the best, I guess.
Dear people of Newgrounds, what games are you most excited to play this year?
In my case, I'm currently very pumped up for Penny's Big Breakaway and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake eater.
P. S.: I know I should have probably done this in early January, but I wanted to wait for the latest announces of this month.
I've been failing this challenge for the last two years, it's time to make a change!
I'll read 10 books, and then work my way up.
Couldn't finish a single book during December. Dang it! I could only read a single book during 2023.
I'm going to set for 20 books / texts this year and work my way up.
Baki would make a formidable fighting game, if you ask me.
Not really a fan of superheroes, but I'd love to see Beast Boy throwing hands in Injustice.

Couldn't finish a single book in February due to my college exams.
Hopefully this month will be different!
Greetings, everyone!
After failing for the last two years, I decided to give this challenge a new try. This time, I will set up for a goal of 35 books.
Here's the first book I've finished. Hopefully, it won't be the last!

"May well be the most important book on the environment ever written."
This is, quite arguably, the best book against climate alarmism you can find out there. A surprisingly well-written book directed towards the common man and sustained by a large amount of empirical evidence and research.
Shellenberger makes a call for common sense and optimism while debunking the false idea that human development will inevitably lead to more waste, pollution, and the subsequent destruction of the planet.
It is a surprisingly cathartic read, that deserves to be fully studied and analyzed.
Definitely one of the greatest illustrators of the last few decades. It really saddens me to see such an amazing individual die so young.
Goodbye, Kim. We'll miss you.

I have to respectfully disagree.
I started using Linux just a year ago, and so far, the community (or rather, all the different communities surrounding GNU / Linux) have treated me quite well.
Having said all this, I do agree that we tend to be quite elitist. After all, I do believe in Linux supremacy.
you are literally proving my point when I saw Linux users are obnoxious
Glad I could help.

The only benefit Linux has over Windows is that it can run on a toaster. I've never had to open the command prompt on my Windows machine, but I have to open the terminal nearly every single time I've got to do something technical.
Eh, I prefer to use the terminal instead of having to deal with viruses, bloatware and Microsoft's bs.

Well, remember the website YTMND?
Just a year ago, I created an account just to see if the website was still functioning, and suffice to say, I'm glad I did!
You're the man now dog! is not only perfectly functioning, but it also has plenty of active users.
Thanks a lot for introducing me to this safe haven of internet humor, papa Whang!
Another month wasted! I really need to stop procrastinating.

Do you think this format/style of internet horror could have a renaissance in the near future?
I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that creepypastas played a huge role in modern day internet culture, as well as mainstram pop culture of the last 20 years.
After rewatching "Creepypasta: Sins of a Dying genre" by Bernievids, my interest in this subject has been resurrected, so you may want to check it out before replying in this thread.
Can creepypastas succeed in the age of smartphones and social media?

Anyway, it's just a battery...
Cool! You clearly have a solid idea of what you want to do with this character.
Suffice to say, I'm looking forward to see more.

I get the idea that these designs are meant to be a parody of goofy looking superhero outfits from the Golden Age of Comic Books, but oh, boy! This is just straight up ridiculous.
