The pilot for the planned Gremlins series in the early 90's. Gremlins is my favorite film series, with The New Batch being my favorite movie ever in particular, and if this was to be anything like the Beetlejuice cartoon, it would've been really solid. Plus with Gremlins being an Amblin movie there's a chance this could've had Tiny Toons and Animaniacs guys working on it. I thought the meta direction taken in The New Batch was brilliant and would have loved more of that.
One final drawing to end the year with a bang(ha!). It's a redraw of my very first drawing of one of my characters from almost 6 months ago. Can't wait to see how much I've improved 6 months or up to a year or more from now. Happy New Year NG!

Redid one my earliest drawing's from July to make it more refined now that these characters are more established. This time I'm going to actually commit to doing a full series of these drawings but I'll probably leave it at one a week so I have more time to make each one more polished.

Twitter controversy? Must be a day that ends in Y, that place is a CESSPOOL. Only by following a bunch of animation/gaming and cute exotic pet accounts I'm still tolerate that place.

Literally the one perk of Microsoft having Rare was that, for a time, they were willing to embrace Conker in a way Nintendo wouldn't have. At least we got Live and Reloaded and this cute plushie out of it.... Sigh.

I just adore these. I've even got a soft spot for some of the post-buyout ones. We used to be a proper society. There's just so much personality and charm oozing from these and Rare's aesthetics were always such a big influence of my own that it's a shame companies don't do much of this anymore.

Merry Christmas everybody, let's all make the yuletide GAY

I do wish they made one more try at this too. It's surprisingly low stakes and low engagement combat for a Treasure game, which maybe fits with Wario but I would have loved to see it go full Devil May Cry or something.
I just wish Wario World had brought Kirby Tilt n Tumble 2 and Gold Star Mountain along with it when it came to our timeline from the dimension of tech demo games. It's genuinely such a SpaceWorld looking game. First game that looks and feels like a Yuriofwind Gaming Mysteries or Beta 64 video.

I suppose my only issues is that it's too short, and I wish the combat was more dynamic with combos, mainly because I want Wario to be more visceral. At 12/22/25 09:45 PM, DioShiba wrote:

That aside this was a fun little game that had some interesting aspects to it but I don't think it was worth full price when it first came out due to the length.
It's funny you both mention the length because in a way I feel like that had potential to be used to the benefit of the game. They totally could've pumped out a little trilogy of these on the GameCube, I mean Crash was able to on the PS1 and those games had more content despite also being a linear 3D platformer.
Y'know what, yeah that could've worked in a weird sort of way. Though I feel like for the Gamecube generation it'd be weird considering they could just make one big game containing all of the ideas they wanted. No need to split them up for sequels. Perhaps include more Warioland elements, and even WarioWare elements!
Considering how early on in the 6th Gen Wario World came out perhaps there were at one point plans to make a bigger and better 3D Wario platformer later on but with the game garnering mixed reception and the Ware series sunddenly becoming a breakaway hit they decided to focus on that and as for Wario's next(and sadly, last) console platformer they decided to return to the Land roots. Still holding out hope that with Donkey Kong having his 2nd 3D game now Wario is next on the itinerary(or maybe finally Yoshi so I don't have to count 64 DS as his stealth first 3D game anymore).

Not much of a rhythm game person but I do like the songs and art direction. It's a pretty good game but the stigma could be due to fanbase but then again what big game doesn't have a le toxic fanbase? If we go by fanbases nobody would ever play a Sonic game.
Even by Nintendo's standards it's just bizarre. Like every time I see this game I feel like I'm looking at something that was shown once at SpaceWorld 2000 or E3 2001 as ''Wario for the Nintendo GameCube'' before being quietly cancelled but rest assured it is very real. Very Denver Airport vibes. Possibly the closest a final GameCube game has ever gotten to looking like those SpaceWorld tech demos. GOATed game though.

Some recent comic strips I started doing. This week's were more ''tame''(T rated) than the first batch of them so luckily I'm able to participate in the thread this time around
Another Sunday another strip. Kind of impressed with myself for managing to get out 4 of these in 2 weeks

Matt Stone, Trey Parker, Mike Judge, Ralph Bakshi, Sally Cruikshank, Zach Hadel, Michael Cusack and other similar artists with sketchy, non-conformist styles. I love 'ugly' DIY aesthetics more than art that's overtly-refined.
Another Saturday another comic strip

May he rest in peace. Nobody born in 1990 should be dying.
I like that it's still a star rating system in an age where every other platform is a hugbox ''I love this'' heart and not even dislikes show anymore I just wish there was a way to rate things just a teensy bit more accurately like for instance I feel like sometimes I don't feel like a work is exactly a .5 value or whole number score but rather somewhere in between and would like to reflect that in my rating.
Idk when I type it out loud it like that it sounds kind of arbitrary and finicky but surely somebody else shares this sentiment?

I can still access my inbox from history but yeah I'm just having an issue seeing it now from the mail. Again, I didn't click any links in the PM nor did I respond so I basically did the right thing and considering I can post at all I can safely say my account isn't compromised(knock on wood). It'll probably resolve itself eventually just wondering how I can access my inbox proper without having to check in my history or copy+paste the link to the browser. Maybe if a TRUSTED user can try sending me a PM it'll resolve by itself?
This is a sitewide bug - currently the PM button is only showing unread messages in the dropdown menu and when no unread messages exist, it's non-functional.
Ah I gotchu. Thank you for clearing that up Tom!

In the first one, Rick and Roxy meet 2 characters who may have a bone to pick with them... What I like about making comics, and ones that I want to use to make a zine at that, is that since it's more underground, there's more leeway for parody and satire than if it were an animated short made for commercial viewing.

In continuation from that, there's also a Sunday edition of the comic with a more rough, DIY aesthetic:

Definitely a highlight of the game IMO I just remember wishing badly it had a story mode like Diddy Kong Racing when I was younger... Wish granted with the new game.
I had a feeling there was reasoning behind Futurama returning to a daily timeslot. Ugh, why couldn't it be Bob's Burgers instead?
Oh well, I'm excited to see Home Movies on linear TV again. As it stands, AS could use more of it's own legacy and ongoing original programming and less Fox On Cartoon Network blocks. The sooner they lose Bob's Burgers and The McFarlane Variety Hour the better. Nothing against Seth, he's one of my GOATs I just think his shows have ran their course on the channel. They don't even have the rights to air the pre-cancellation seasons of FG that made the show a cult classic in the first place.
Mr.Hankey's Christmas Classics. It even premiered the very day I was born.
I like 1's locations the most but 2's gameplay and themes more. I also really like Solid Snake on the MSX. There's so much sophistication in spite of the technical limitations of the hardware.
Some South Park/Wario fanart and original series artwork I did this past week.
