May I please draw Hong Meiling and Flandre Scarlet?

Here is up close. See how one is dimmer than the other? It comes down to your personal preference for your illustration.
Hello Yugtoon! There are many ways to do what you are asking.
Tint colour

Most people use multiply, overlay and hard/soft light. I do not use Clip Studio in English usually so cannot provide my personal judgement. Make sure to change the filter if needed. These links may be helpful: https://tips.clip-studio.com/en-us/articles/7344 https://help.clip-studio.com/en-us/manual_en/180_layers/Blending_modes.htm
You may create a new layer from only visible parts of a canvas (that would exclude the background, for example) if you only want to change parts of an illustration.
Noise layer
You may add noise to a layer via the following:

I do not understand what you mean by ‘3D effect’. Would you mind sharing a piece that employs this effect so I can help guide you in using it in your own work?
If you have any more questions, do not hesitate to let me know.

Happy December everyone!
I understand this event is a character-focused drawing event. However, I wish to draw a character in an environment to create a sense of atmosphere in my gift. Are there restrictions on how much visual “attention” may be occupied by the background? Obviously, the character’s interaction with the environment takes priority.
谢谢!

We’ve got a real comedian here!
Hello all,
I am opening a small raffle to attempt to practice drawing a variety of original characters. Humans and simple anthropomorphic characters are OK. Submissions are open until 9am UST UTC+00:00; please reply to this thread with something nice (you do not need to provide a reference at this stage) and I will PM you if you have been selected for the raffle.
Please note I will only be drawing 4 characters. Some examples of my style are linked below.
谢谢!

Not to be insensitive, but I’d argue taking commissions as an internet artist makes you a victim of a severe supply and demand imbalance. There are thousands of artists with with intermediate skills who have commissions open, but a very limited supply of people who are willing to purchase your art. Additionally, there will always be a teenager with a similar skill level to you who do free requests/commissions for a pitiful sum of robucks, so people who are willing to take an intermediate’s art don’t have to pay a fee that would make sense as a “per hour” thing. It sucks that you can’t stand out because there are simply so many artists posting online.
If you are particularly famous/talented this increases demand massively and you will actually be able to charge a handsome fee for your art, but that generally doesn’t happen on this website as others have mentioned. As people who use newgrounds are generally creatives, they don’t tend to commission people often (and if they do, it’s usually friends) or just beg for someone to collaborate with them. Newgrounds just doesn’t have a commission culture; it’s good as a portfolio or to build a sense of community but is woeful when it comes to earning actual money.
It really sucks how massively art is undervalued; $20 for a fully rendered piece is absurd and it’s a shame undervaluing yourself is so normalised online. At your size I’d be guesstimating ~1 commission / month on this site max. I don’t recommend using sites like Fiverr as the prices are absurdly low (teenagers + those living in low-income countries where these prices that seem low to us westerners are actually huge sums of money). Other social media is your best bet at attracting commissions unfortunately. I’m not sure what the current “meta” is, but don’t go on any sites your gut tells you not to use (for example, I would never use Discord, I’m too old for that stuff).
Your art is very pretty and I wish you all the best! ❤️

Thank you for hosting this collab! I look forward to the final video.
In addition to posting our final pieces here (with an appropriate file link as well), is it OK to post the work on our personal Newgrounds pages? If so, what is the tag for the collab?
I’ve been a lurker for in excess of a decade, but am new when it comes to actually engaging with the community on this website; hence, I apologise for asking such a silly question.
谢谢!
