The idea for the logo is good. It should be a bit more consistent and thighter, in my opinion.

I fieddeled around a bit and this was the tweaked version I came up with.

Response to: Unscouted; Not sure what to do next Posted January 16th, 2026 in Where is / How to / Help!

At 1/13/26 04:38 PM, EmberBaye wrote:I logged in today to upload a few new pieces I made and noticed that my posts were no longer going into the Art Portal. I'm unsure why this happened, as the reasons for getting unscouted can vary WILDLY from what I've seen and there's a chance it might not have even been in my control.

I was scouted pretty early on into making a NG account and, as far as I'm aware, I haven't had any issues until now. I've only scouted one other person but I can't even check who it was now because of my status XD

I brushed up on the rules and as far as I can tell I haven't posted anything rule-breaking, but since unscouting doesn't seem to involve any sort of notification I can't know that for certain.

What should I be doing now? Do I message a mod, go to the Art forum and make a thread showcasing my work, just keep posting like normal and wait to be re-scouted (assuming I even can be?)

I would say keep on posting. You have 300+ fans that will see your art anyway. You also can be seen in the not scouted section. Less traffic, but also less high quality competition.

In my opinion having fans are more important to get views than the art portal.

To message a mod might be a good idea to get a handle on what you might want to avoid doing for the future.

I do agree that a notification about unscouting would have been a reasonable thing to expect. NG doesn't seem do that. I don't know why. Possibly a notification is expected to generate more negative responses, than not having a notification at all?

I would appreciate any help! Like i said on the title, this is my first time using this feature

Welcome to NG.

You might want to start with looking over the forum rules.

https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/help-information/forums/forum-rules

including the one about putting your thread in the correct forum. "Where is/How to/Help" might have been a more correct forum in this case.

You have obviously found the "Create New Topic" button top right on the forum page or the "New Topic" button top right:ish in a thread (computer version, might be different in phone). Both starts a new thread.

In the thread set Ratings for the intended content of the thread, E,T,M or A.

Replying to a thread can be done 2 ways. The "Respond to this Topic" button, top right in the thread or the "Reply" button at the bottom right of a post. Something that is intended as a reply to a specific post is best done with the "Reply" button. This will notify the author of the post. If you intended to answer a certain post but use the "Respond to this Topic" the risk is that the author of that post will not see your answer.

It pays to check if there already is a thread with the question/subject you want to make a thread about. A number of questions tend to be repeated time after time. Responses to "repeat" threads can on occasion be a bit salty. But mostly this is a fairly friendly place in my experience.

Ahh, Those where good years for comics. (and don't forget the 60's and 70's)

You are not quite there yet, but the panels are clear and easy to read. I like the inks.

Below I have changed the balance between the panels for one page to make it more dynamic. It is all about making the fist punching thru the ice feeling as powerful as possible. Breaking thru the panel does a lot of lifting here. This is gimicks that, in my opinion, should not be overdone, but that are well motivated in this case.

Note that I have moved the textbox in the second panel. This is to help the eye have a smooth path traveling thru the panels. Having to go to the bottom of the panel to get the text don't work as well.

Right now, the tilesets I made are just meant to be placeholders. I don't really like the pallet I came up with tbh. But I wanted some feedback on how it looks. Should I completely remake it like I intended? Or should I just spruce it up and change the colors around. I'm not sure if it looks ugly or not lol

Remake, or reuse + revamp?

Looks pretty good to me. Maybe turn the brigtness of grass and trees down a few notches.

(The GIF might not work in the thread because there is a size limitation. If the file is too large, it will not run, I think I read at some time).

At 12/26/25 03:43 AM, Vortoxium wrote:Hello there!

I've started working on this around 6 months ago, though I never finished it cause I was unhappy with how I was unable to make some elements look the way I wanted to. That element specifically is the Irken flag that Zim is ramming into Dib's eyesocket. I re-sketched it multiple times already, but I never seem to be able to make it look right. I think my main issues with it are its perspective in comparison to Zim and Dib + I dislike how the fabric of the flag itself looks very stiff despite the whole flagpole being in a swift downward motion.

Anyone who wants to help me with this you're free to draw over it and add correction lines if you like. Doesn't just have to be the flag if you notice other elements inside this sketch that could need adjustment in your opinion. Any other tips and suggestions are also welcome!

Thank you for taking your time and reading this!

It feels to me that the elements in your image are pulling in different directions.

Here I am trying to get everything going in one direction.

So, the main trouble in my mind with your image is that the lips determines the placement of the teeth.

In my image I start with the gums, to determine the position of the teeth. And decide the placement of the lips after positioning the teeth.

Check out the higher resolution version here.

"This doesn't really fit into pulp or magazine era"

Well, #10 of Classic Comics (later renamed Classics Illustrated) was a telling of Robinson Crusoe in comic book format and it was first publiced in 1943, so there you could (sort of) connect it to the Golden age.

Story boards are often used for live movies or sometimes even for theater. It can be used to plan a comicbook too.

The actual art for the video will not be drawn on top of the storyboard thumbnails.

I'm not sure if the kind of work I do, 3d comics, is right for this site. I've created hundreds of comics and most of them are in the 10-50 page range, although some are considerably longer (my longest is 414).

Anyhow just looking for advice if anyone has any.

This part in the guidelines might be useful to you to evaluate if your 3d art might contain (too much) 3de party assets to be allowed on NG.

https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/help-information/terms-of-use/art-guidelines

Scene Creators, Third Party Assets

Do not submit images made from other people's assets or from scene creator programs.

This includes art made with Source Filmmaker; if you did not create the character models, please do not share your piece in the Art Portal. If you are creating your own models and your work is removed, PM Tom. Also be careful not to produce the art equivalent of shovelware, by uploading large numbers of similar entries to the Art Portal. Activity such as this lead to a growing community backlash against SFM.

Any 3D assets not modeled by the uploader should not be primary elements of your piece and should be credited and linked to when possible, to help us determine if the submission is suitably original / transformative. In general Daz3D entries aren't allowed because they are largely composed of pre-existing assets. This is another situation where we became less lenient over time due to the ability of people to flood the Art Portal with renders.

UnrealEngine's MetaHuman would similarly be treated as third-party assets, since the software is creating the model.

There are numerous scene and character creator tools beyond the ones listed above. Any software where you arrange pre-made assets is not accepted in the Art Portal. Examples include Koikatsu Party and Gacha Life.

First of all, the account was made today, which doesn't seem very trustworthy for me. Second, the links that it shared to me are purely for messaging, no directions to the company it is suggesting, or any showcase of work, which you'll agree seems very suspicious to be a "serious project proposition" (not to mention it's asking me to answer through these, instead of directly answering the PM itself).

Gonna flag it honestly. I wonder if anybody else has gotten any PM from this account so far.

I've had three of these, same identical text, including spelling mistake, but different senders (presumably new accounts as the previous accounts get blocked).
