The living definition of "curiosity killed the cat", except he's also afraid of cats (kinda hate this drawing for reasons but it's the most recent one I got)

Response to: CREATURE CALL! FREE REQUESTS! Posted January 9th, 2026 in Art

These are creatures I saw in a dream that I still remember vividly, maybe a drawing would help me make out something from it, or at least inspire somebody else?

Large and stretched creatures with a humanoid top half and a snakes lower body, constantly floating in the air and tightly covered in bandages like a mummy- but completely hollow on the inside. No identifiable features in their face, as in no eyes or noses or mouth or even hair. Large, heavy shackles on their wrists, neck and the ends of their tails, made of something slightly translucent like jade or opal but blue in most of them.

That's physical lol, but here's some other random shit I remember from that dream. I learned they are creatures created by something, which must undergo on a quest in order to earn a physical body of their choice- but if they were to fail, they receive a harsh punishment instead which will haunt them for the rest of their eternal existence.

Either way funky guys I saw through having mildly weirder dreams than usual lol

Response to: Thoughts on Raymond from Animal Crossing? Posted January 8th, 2026 in Video Games

I don't get the hype behind him frankly, he looks basic to me. I'm only interested in Coco and maybe Sasha to be honest, but I'm also not like a diehard Animal Crossing fan either, so I guess wouldn't mind having Raymond but I'd probably do sell him to someone if it got me something cooler in return lol

Imitation, I suppose? My sis draws, my grandma did in her lifetime, I have been drawing for as long as I can remember...

From what I see based on Google Images alone, that AI makes generic garbage images but based on a sketch or drawing you input first. On the other hand, this is clearly a rough drawing made with crayons, you can see the individual strokes and also those going back and forth to color it in- what in the world are you talking about???

Response to: What advice has significantly improved your works? Posted December 22nd, 2025 in Art

Unironically the whole "don't worry about perfection when you're just getting started, you can always polish it later" helped me a lot. It made me more willing to experiment and get new resulta, and also able to actually get stuff done because otherwise I'd just throw away all sketches that weren't immediately 100% fit to my initial vision.

Response to: Who inspired you the most? Posted December 22nd, 2025 in Art

FNF was the only reason I figured how to draw hands TwT, can't exactly hide them if they're required to hold something in view lest people get suspicious, so thanks mostly to PA and Evilsk8r

As a whole since I was into My Little Pony at a young age (since G3, fakers!) I definitely took a lot of that style mostly for the characters eyes. I think you can probably tell by looking at a few of my drawings.

Recently trying digital painting too, but I wanna also test oil painting like the OGs Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh... or even painting on acrylics like my grandmother, may she rest in peace.

There are many more, but by far the reason I even draw, like at all, is my older sister. Dunno if I can share her shit here but trust me she's pretty cool.

Response to: Expidition 33 disqualified from Indie GOTY over Ai use. Posted December 22nd, 2025 in Video Games

Well shit. I was interested in Expedition 33 and this sort of just, killed any interest I still had. Then again I'm more against AI than a lot of folks, but I feel like the fact they lied about it initially should raise some eyebrows even for those "AI is the future trust me!1!!1" dudes.

If AI was soooo good, why try to pretend your work was 100% human made? Why would companies try to be sneaky about it if it was truly something we wanted??

"Indie" my ass.

What's so special about another energy drink, other than the 'cringe 2010s nerd gamer' stereotype? Plus, the last time an energy drink got this popular on the internet it was full of enough caffeine to send you six feet under. If I need caffeine, which I rarely do, I'll stick to a coffee mug

THE HALF-LIFERS BROKE CONTAINEMENT FROM REDDIT, WE ARE DOOMED

If you saw the title and was extremely confused as for why I'm asking such a question, PLEASE read below, I swear this has an explanation!

University is fun for the most part, we are nearing the end of the first trimester and one of my classes has finally handed me and the rest of my class the final assignment for it, in which we have to analyze and deconstruct and give an unbiased critique of a certain design, depending on which career we wanna go to: the way my school works is a little more complicated than other schools, in which the first two trimesters are shared by students of different careers within a same niche- in my case I go to the area focused on design (it includes my career amongst industrial design and architecture, amongst other lesser known ones that afaik nobody's taking), and I wanna specialize in graphic design.

The teacher brought up that for my case something like a website or an app that I use would work, and that's when my neurons activated. Two things I like, together!

The assignment is honestly rather simple, we have to explain thoroughly the way a design achieves (or not) certain dimensions, most of which I can fill out on my own through explaining how the website works and why it works or doesn't... but then there are two categories that are a little more difficult to fill out .w.

The first is "sustainability" (I speak spanish as my main language and so the homework format is in spanish as well, so I'm trying to translate everything as closely as possible), which requires me to find out the resources that keep the design we're discussing going and how that affects the environment, what is being done to reduce ecological impact while making sure the design doesn't fall apart, repairs and so forth. I think I vaguely remember the power intake of Newgrounds' servers being estimated at around that of an average home, that one time the DDoS attacks began and there was some discussion about it besides of how the team behind the site was working on keeping the site safe from them- which I think might also be worth noting when talking about repairs... I simply don't know where to research this, so I was hoping to get primary sources or information by asking directly.

The latter is a lot more subjective, and for which I straight up require people to tell me about their general experience with the website: enjoyability. Enjoyability in this case refers to things such as the website's general aesthetic and layout, how they might bring out a pleasant emotion in a person like happiness or comfort, perhaps even nostalgia for some of y'all... and on the other hand it also takes in mind the opposite, what can be uncomfortable or frustrating when navegating the website based on its design? So this whole part should focus on the website's design as opposed to what it hosts, so if you don't like someone's work this isn't a place to talk about that! I simply would like to hear more thoughts and perhaps gather a more general consensus as opposed to only using my own experience as a base.

Thanks a lot for reading.

The very first few seconds whenever Deltarune was first announced felt like an irl creepypasta. We all- me included, really just downloaded a random "SURVEY PROGRAM" because Gaster told us to do it in Halloween. Undertale is filled with so much secret stuff that still gets found out to this day, had it came out just a year or so earlier I bet it would have racked up tons of creepypastas and urban legends

As for real urban legends, I remember believing in Herobrine (mentioned above!) to such an extent that I was too scared to play the game for a while. Honestly I got a nostalgic spot for Herobrine these days even if it scared me shitless as a dumb kid. I wanted to comment on the Mew truck one as it was the first thing that came to mind when I say the thread's title, but it has been already mentioned along with how absolutely broken those games were- aren't speedruns of the first games based ENTIRELY on breaking the game on the first town?

Depends on the program. The vectors for CSP are versatile enough to avoid the uniformity that's often associated with them. Also, I can turn aliasing on or off with them at any time, so I can draw aliased lines for increased performance, then switch all the inks to smooth for the final render.

I DO use CSP, just I can see the slight differences from when I trace a line and they bother me a lot... I should probably just get over that tbh

First trend in this whole thing I've actually never seen, and I gotta ask what the fuck are you talking about. Who even thought of it? Like I know tits = engagement but the boba tea part and how they relate seems so overly specific

I think it started in Asia as a real life flex from girls with big enough tits to drink from a cup of boba tea wedged securely between them. That made its way into an art trend, so it was already a layer removed from the beginning.

Well any OC can have big tits so it's not that much of a flex anymore kek
