📆 Pixel Day
Our 11th annual Pixel Day is January 23rd!
Participate by making original pixel art, animation, games or chiptunes. Publish your entry on January 23rd and include the "pixelday2026" tag.
If your work is making its world premier on Pixel Day, you are eligible for our prize competition! Include a second tag, "pixelday2026-compo" to confirm it is a world premier piece and is competing for a prize. If you are sharing something you've already posted elsewhere, stick with just the pixelday2026 tag.
If you’re a pixel artist who has never shared your work on NG, we’d love to see you join in! You can enter multiple categories or submit multiple entries. You can also team up with friends to make stuff.
Fan art is fine, if the art is your own original pixel work and not sprites ripped from games.
If you’re making a movie or game, try partnering with someone making chiptunes on NG! We can’t host content with unlicensed commercial music, so avoid using songs you don’t have permission to use. Here are some music resources.

📆 Flash Forward Jam
Our sixth annual Flash Forward event will be officially announced in early February but you can start making a Flash game or interactive movie right now if you plan to participate! Read last year’s Flash Forward launch post for an idea of how this event works.
Prizes are TBD but you can use the donation option to donate towards the prize pool at any time. PM me a heads up if you donate towards Flash Forward. It would be great to kick this off with a big prize pool.
📆 Pico Day
Like last year, Pico Day will be a lowkey (no prizes) event on April 30th, where everyone is welcome to share NG fan art to celebrate Newgrounds!
📆 Low-Poly Day
Our second annual Low Poly Day will be Saturday, June 6th! Read last year’s Low Poly Day launch post to get an idea of how this event works.
📆 Halloween Spooktacular
As usual, October will be our Halloween Spooktacular.
Game & Animation Jams
If you’re relatively well-known on NG and you’d like to host a game or animation jam this year, let me know! These jams tend to do best when they are hosted by prominent people in the community, for example if you’ve made popular games or popular movies.
Monthly Prizes
We’re always looking for sponsors to expand our monthly prizes! If you can give at least $100 per month, you can get a special thank you and promo link in the monthly awards post.
